Could someone tell me how is Cisco’s green card policy? For example, do you have to work for them for a couple of years and then apply for green card? Or they can always apply it as early as you wish? Are their lawyers responsive and efficient? Can someone who is/was in the green card application process at Cisco share your experience? Thanks so much!
They often have multiple layoffs, which they have to pause Green Card application. Many of my friends wait for years and finally left because of this.
That’s what I’m afraid of. I had similar experience in other company.
That will happen and you should find other company. I saw many people suffer from that
It took me 7 years to submit the PERM application to Labor department with a good education background
90 days from your hire date. Thats it. Just need your manager pushes
If u already have an I 140 u can join cisco, else never join.
I have I-140, do you mean Cisco can take over my current I-140 without losing my priority date?
If ur I 140 is valid, u can maintain ur priority date. But, if u r priority date is current, don't join
Also, does Cisco revoke approved I-140 before 6 months from approval, if u leave the firm ??
Second week after my joining date to initiate the process . But all depends on lay-off which some time takes more than 3 years for next step.
