No bonuses or stock. Time to leave blah. Asked manager and said they don’t do that here. Sorry I’m ranting.
I am a full stack engineer in dallas. In O&T
Eh it’s very okay. Citi by comparison to other banks does pay less on the scale Look at JP and Capital One for salaries in Dallas. They are higher Bonuses are really really rare. Only SVP and up get bonuses in the org. AVPs didn’t last year
Is it just for your role/seniority level?
Don’t think so...I’m eligible for bonuses as stated in my contract. Org just doesn’t do it
probably better off without Citi stock TBH
Bonuses are based on managers’ discretion based on “performance” and other factors. All officer levels are eligible. If there’s a lot of directors in your org, they tend to get the pool more and very small amt is left for the rest of the group.

We’re hiring. We don’t do bonuses yet, but we pay above average for Phoenix + stock compensation.
How is carvana doing though? What’s the difference between you all and beepi (now out of business)?
We’re public (went public back in April of this year), continuing to grow like crazy and there’s still plenty of bumps in the road we will have to get over but overall it’s good. I think one of the main differences between us and other companies is we actually finance our own loans instead of presenting the user with a myriad of options from other lenders. This allows us to control more of the process. The other big bet we’ve made is we are building our own logistics network instead of relying on third party delivery companies. Similar to Amazon, if you get delivered a package and it’s crushed that sucks. We want to again control that entire process, so we are building our own network so we control everything from start to finish. There’s some cool engineering and product work to be done because you have the logistics side of the business involving things like better transit algorithms (not just delivering cars in the most efficient manner but also scheduling drivers, load capacities, etc etc), “uber” like delivery applications among other items and also the eCommerce side of things is interesting. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. I worked in SaaS companies before this and physical inventory, especially large, high ticket value inventory, is a whole new ball game for me. You can look at our earnings, S1 and the model itself is complex but I do think we got a great shot at being really, really big in the automotive space if our big bets pan out.
