I have been on the client side (social/digital marketing) for about 4 years and was happy to leave the grueling agency life. All of a sudden I have a very attractive offer to go back to agency life. Is this a terrible idea? I.e. Will I hate myself doing time sheets and the usual agency bullshit? Anyone here who has gone back and forth?
I left client side after 10 years to work agency and there are pros and cons to both for sure. I definitely don’t miss the leisurely yet frustrating pace of client side. I think I prefer it to the grueling agency side...
Agency business models are in the shitter. Long term outlook bleak. If you can get a decent salary and do very little (workacation) milk it but don't expect any professional growth.
