Cloud Engineer @ Oracle
Searched Bljnd and Glassdoor, very little resources. I have an upcoming phone screen and want to know a little more about this role. Can anyone from Oracle shed a bit of light on this role? Specially about TC and what they actually do? This is for the Seattle office. TC 180k at AMZN

I guess non-OCI Oraclers are jealous, while OCI Oraclers feel they are doing shit.
How many yoe? Ask for 30% more of top of band amazon comp or ask for next level up and get your title inflated like everyone else. L5 at Amazon? Ask for IC4 and get 380k+ TC. L4? Ask for 300k TC. Just be aware culture sucks at oci and if you don’t suck dick you won’t get a raise so better ask for most possible. Shitty mixture of Amazon and oracle. Lack of transparency and underhandedness aplenty. OCI values are a knock off of amazon LPs but they are not followed at all. Only thing that is better here compared to Amazon is the WLB and TC. Everything else, projects, tooling, management (inexperience and they hide things and lie), politics all suck. I’m quitting my job Jan 2.
6-7 years, L5 at AMZN with 180k TC. Thanks for the insight, if a 300k offer came it would be hard to turn that down. How long did you last at Oracle?
In that case try for IC4, with 350k+ TC. Don’t settle for 300k. You’re getting severely underpaid at Amazon it seems. 180k is how much my L4 friend made as SDE1. I’m coming up at 2 years but wanted to leave 6 months in.
