I have been having a lingering cold since couple of weeks that never goes away.
Symptoms:
Tiredness
Heavy head
Feverish but no fever
Weakness
Slight mucus

I am otherwise healthy , run 2 miles and lift weights.
WTF Could be going on ?
Ps: I do NOT have any chronic diseases.
Thanks in advance.

Don’t ask for TC please .

Warm glass of milk with a spoon of turmeric powder every night. And a spoonful of organic honey mixed in warm lemon water in the morning. Old Ayurvedic remedies.

Ayurvedic medicine also tells you not to heat the honey, so don’t warm it up, it kills the enzymes in it. Also, this should be raw honey, not the mass produced crap (which is pasteurized and dead). Go with Manuka honey if you want something supercharged. Also, turmeric/curcumin absorbs significantly better with piperine (black pepper) and when consumed with fatty foods. Capsules with dinner will be far more effective.

It's definitely AIDS. =P. Or any number of trivial things. Or your immune system is shot from burnout/lack of sleep/poor diet. Or something wrong with HVAC where you live/work, or ... Go see a doctor if it doesn't let up.

Grab some Flonase and/or Allegra (very effective combo for me).

And what's the doctor going to do? Doctors are useless for common ailment. They'll either ask you to fuck off and get OTC meds or prescribe a billion tests and you enjoy being guinea pig.

Zinc 150mg until you get better, then 50mg. Proven in double blind studies to almost halve the length of common cold.

Zinc and iron compete for interstinal absorption. Don't take any metal without thorough understanding of all its effects, they all have very specific effects unlike say too much multivitamins.

I'd start with three 500mg Vitamin C tablets per day... Personally prefer chewables, I forget less that way...

Are you lonely? Not kidding. There's research that shows that loneliness and other social stresses weakens the immune system.

I'm an example of that. Before I moved to MSFT I was fucking sick like 50% of the time. It's been a year at MSFT and I've not been sick. I've prob been struck by 4-5 viral attacks in the last year (will wake up in the morning with some phlegm) but so far I have not fallen sick yet!!!

Most likely allergies, but, get it checked out by your doc. They might brush you off a couple of times, but, will start taking your seriously if the symptoms persist for several weeks.

Just read about SBS. Sick Building Syndrome.
Two weeks is not that uncommon for some viruses. My ex had that happen to her too. Just don’t let it turn into pneumonia.
