New hires beware signing the “acknowledgment of receipt of policies and procedures”, as it includes a provision that allows the company to unilaterally change them without notice. Kind of like signing a credit card application. In my case they changed the policy to allow withholding income as punishment for leaving, without notice. With the economy as strong as it is, find another shop that doesn’t do this, and you might likely not leave.
