Hi, I’m considering switching to Amazon. Can you please share how long your drive takes typically from/ to Bellevue to/ from Seattle? Is it easy to use the Amazon shuttle or do you prefer driving or public transportation? My Uber drivers I took for the interview warned me about the Mercer mess and that it may take 90 minutes. However the ride itself was only 30 minutes at 8:30 am and 3:30 pm back home.
I wouldn’t want to do that commute. 520 going west is a parking lot in the morning. If you wanna work at Amazon I’d move into the city. Closer to work and more stuff to do than Bellevue imo
30 minutes to downtown Seattle from Bellevue Downtime around 8:00am. Seattle to Bellevue is about 30 minutes before 4:00pm, about 1.5 hours once you hit traffic. This is using public transit.
It’s between 20-30 minutes using HOV Lane on 520 from Bellevue Downtown to Amelia building. Going back is usually 20 mins
Thanks everyone. Looks like it is not so bad. Anyone taking the Amazon shuttle? The shuttle stops are close to my house.
The Amazon shuttles are crammed with people. If you're used to that type of commute it's not so bad, but if you're expecting a reasonable amount of space, stay away.
Don't you have to make reservations, how does it get crammed? Are people riding standing?
1 hour to Mercer, 30 minutes to go 100 yards on mercer. Seattle is so crazy.
