Hello, for anyone commuting from Pleasanton to Palo Alto downtown everyday, could you share your experience? Is there a company shuttle available? Looking at housing options now and will move from east coast next month. Any comments will be very helpful. Thanks in advance!
Good luck! 😬 🤮 🤢
Thanks. Hmm, wanted to change the sequence of the last two.. k
I live in the border of north sj/Milpitas and it takes me 45mins fo sunnyvale. Add another hour if commuting from Pleasanton.
Stay near CalTrain stations, that's your best bet. Then you can figure out the rest later
Company shuttle is available...just one option in the morning as well as evening. But its a 90min + bus ride each way. All the best with your move!!!
Thank you! This was exactly what I was trying to find out (together with the below map info).
I used to do Livermore to San Mateo. I couldn't handle it. That commute might be worse or just as bad. I would not do it. Hour 15 in the AM and 2 hours in the PM.
Commute to PA over dumbarton is horrible.. even from Fremont to PA takes more than 1 hour before 10 am. From Pleasanton, commute to PA will be atleast 2 hrs one way, traffic is stationary from 8-9:30.. it is just crazy.. there is a shuttle from pleasanton/livermore but if you have to go daily, then i would prefer sunnyvale, MV or Redwood city.. bay area traffic is becoming wors.. i hope they start offering helicopter shuttles !!!
Move to Mountain View of Sunnyvale - that long a commute isn’t worth it. Or take bart + Cal Train
Yeah, it looks a long commute so I don’t want to drive everyday if I end up living there. I have young kids, so housing option and school in pleasanton look attractive. If I am alone, definitely mtv/sunnyvale makes more sense.
Try cupertino. There are good schools there
