Lets settle the big 4 as MS, FB, AMZN and GOOG...Rank them in their total compensation package from high to low in Engineering. From my friends data and my exp with them, I think - FB, GOOG, AMZN, MS.

Google will outspend Facebook head-to-head on any (engineering) candidate but the relative stock growth trajectory in recent years has meant FB employees probably did better.
Worth noting NFLX pays more than any of them
Netflix is definitely the highest cash (outside of some finance) but no equity.
I'm talking about total comp, you can get whatever % equity you want
