Right now it seems to be the hardest way to get hired, either you have to be a new grad or you have to have 5+ YOE. Facebook, Netflix, and Google are off the table because they're not longer hiring people this junior. Amazon isn't this way too right? I have an on-site in two weeks. Outside of FANG, I don't see many positions open for anyone with less than 5 YOE
Amazon, Capital One, Bloomberg
DM me. I am hiring at Amazon.
C'mon don't know where you looking cause 2-5 yoe is the sweet spot. Almost everyone prefers a 2-5 yoe swe.
Nah this HC is frozen right now
DM me. We are hiring.
my team has req for 2+ can you provide more details about your technical background?
I have 2+ years of experience before MS in home country. Can I apply?
2.5 YoE just finished onsite at Google and Amazon, both reached out to me they are definitely looking for people like us.
A Facebook recruiter contacted me last week to request an interview for a full-time SWE position, and I have 2.5 YOE. Are you sure there's a freeze for <5 YOE? If so, why would they have contacted me when my resume clearly shows that I have at most 3 YOE?
Same thing happened to me then ghosted And a Google recruiter approached me initially too, then I was told there's no headcount for people as junior as me right now Maybe they make exceptions, I don't know all that goes on, but this is what im seeing at least :/
I had an onsite at Google with 1.5 YOE a little over a year ago, and was requested to interview again in Q1. I declined FB/G interviews for the time being, since I'd prefer to stay at Bloomberg a bit longer and interview in Q4. Even if I had an offer from FB/G, I might not take it depending how things progress at Bloomberg.
