I’m an Australian living in Canada, about to get my Canadian citizenship. I really need a life change/fresh start and would like to move to the bay area next year. I’ve been in Tech for 6 years, but not a developer (I work in Marketing). What are some good companies that are open to sponsoring visas and not turning down my application immediately? B2C is my preference, but can do B2B also
If your an Australian citizen you get an E3 visa.If your a Canadian citizen you get TN.Both can bypass the H1b mess. Start hitting up recruiters -there will be some company where you can worm your way in despite not being in tech.
Thank you! I applied for a job which was a great fit, told them about the E3 and how it isn’t really a “sponsorship” visa (pretty straightforward, no cost to the employer, only job offer required) and they still said they couldn’t move forward because they don’t “sponsor”. So frustrating.
Try through TN.employers are more familiar with a TN visa though the E3 visa is super easy to get.Target larger companies.
I'm an American trying to make the opposite move! Do you know if there are any Australian companies that sponsor? I'm in Saas sales but looking to jump to Cloud sales.
Honestly, if you are not a techie , you are almost outta luck, except getting hooked up with some Whale and get GC.. Not many non techie ppl gets 1 . GC 2. Sponshorship.. I had one beautiful looking french gal.. I was almost in love with her .. hvin hard time anyone sponshoring her..
