Any companies out there asking only about 1. existing experience, 2. past projects and 3. exactly what the job is about, like prove that you know Java or JS by writing any program you like, or implement a data parser, Googling allowed. 4. Or prove that you can design a reasonably complex system and API by asking to repeat the exact API you have already implemented. Fed up failing at phone interview level because I am unprepared (and never plan to be prepared).

I thought samsara does?
They do pair programming that does kind of converge into an LC but still
I think the best way to avoid Leetcode type questions is to be good at a sought after skills for unique roles, like Android/iOS Engineer, Front End Engineer, Blockchain Engineer, etc
How did you get into Amazon ? Lol
Internship, got asked an easy question on the interview.
😧😧
But to answer your question I believe IBM and Oracle do not need LC
I ask leetcode these days when I interview candidates but honestly just cause I’m pissed at other companies for asking me and I’m preparing for their interviews too. 🙃 My coworkers always tell me I’m being totally unreasonable when I interview though, hahaha. I’ll ask Alien Dictionary or something. They usually just ask, “We need x, y, and z skills in this role. So tell me about your experience and if you think you’d be a good fit.” IBM doesn’t pay well, but working remotely and coasting is nice.
If you don't ask Leetcode it means you gave no hiring bar.

In and out, asks easy LC questions

Yes plenty. Look up hiring without whiteboards
Yeah I know there is a list on GitHub but a lot of them still mention "pair programming" or "phone interviews" which boils down to those kind of questions.
I understand the hatred of Leetcode but I honestly believe pair programming or just some very basic technical questions thru phone screen is very important when hiring. It helps you verify the competency of a future employee while also not giving them some insane problem from Leetcode to solve. Pair programming type interviews probably help the most, since you able to see how the person works in a real work environment solving day to day problems with their coworkers. I don’t think this should be hard for anyone unless of course they just ask Leetcode questions in disguise. :/
