Hey I was just wondering if any companies are still hiring new grads. I’ve interviewed with most of of FAANG/M/Uber and gotten some offers but interested in companies like Dropbox, Pinterest, or some companies similar to those in engineering bar and culture. Edit: like companies such as Rubrik, OpenDoor, etc which look like they’ll grow quickly
I think it is hard market for New Grads. It is relatively easy to land in the biggest companies like: Google, FB, MSFT but hard with some smaller. I have 2 internships at Google, 2 at MSFT on my resume and still I didn't get a phone screen at: Dropbox, FB (despite referral), Lyft, Uber, Airbnb, Snapchat, even Amazon and some others. I heard that Google on your resume is so important hence was quite surprised with the rejections.
Ok, so maybe that is why I was rejected. But really it is so hard get even phone screens as new grad even after internships at top companies
