What companies care about their employees and treat them as team mates and partners? For example, Amazon treats people as just a cog in the machine that's interchangeable, but Google actually cares for its people.

No company cares. Especially not Google. They will pretend they care if it's better for their business
^^ exactly. The economy doesn't run on kindness or altruism. I feel very valued at Amazon when their stock doubles :p

I work for Amazon and hate how much shit it gets for being a cutthroat company enslaving employees. I guess part of it is because Amazon has A LOT more OPS than say, Google (when was the last time you called google to complain that the stuff ordered yesterday don’t please you as much as you hoped?!). So, if you are an Engineer, stop listening to all the crap news coverage of Amazon warehouses and put your career advancement first. Then, you will find out that Amazon is a great place to build a career vs rotting in the same job level in a Google division sunsiduzed by ad money
OMG I had almost lost hope that anyone else on here actually likes amazon

Goog Employees Arrested
Do you really think Google cares! ? LMAO 😂😂 Their recruitment process is so ridiculous and after that unrealistic expectations, if you make it, they still downlevel you and low-ball you and even when you have competitive offers, they will not trust you and ask you a copy of that letter to even negotiate! And they try to sell you the cool aid saying having Google in your resume in itself is a treasure! Yeah right my landlord will let me live rent free since I work for Google! It's so messed up. I think Google is so overrated and in reality it is not fit to be in tier 1
You're confusing employees with prospective employees :-) 7M people apply every year, we got to be selective
let me guess, you didn't pass the interviews?
