Companies to interview for good counters from Uber and Google?

Mostly thinking of switching to Google or Uber. What are other companies that I should interview for to get good counter offers for Uber and Google.

FANG and unicorns, how hard was that to figure out?

The most useful offer I had was from Oracle Cloud, then Facebook. But I work in Azure and will be moving to Google Cloud, and I convinced Google that I am very open to move to Oracle Cloud so they gave me $500k stocks for T4 in Seattle 🤑

Lol I screwed my self through stupidity. I read on Blind that Google doesn’t match OCI offers so I didn’t bother interviewing there. Then I had to accept a low offer.

It doesn’t hurt to get a few offers. Actually Facebook’s offer was very low compared to Google. If I had to rely on it I wouldn’t have got more than $350k of stocks instead of $500k

For google, public companies like snap, OCI, dropbox, Twitter. For Uber, other unicorns like Pinterest, Airbnb, lyft.

You’ll only get a counter with a Lyft offer if you also have either a Google or Facebook offer. Lyft’s (and those other Unicorns) hiring bar is a lot lower than ours and we’ll only counter if you got an offer at a company with a real hiring bar. We’re more than okay with losing talent to companies if the only signal we have is offers from companies with lower hiring bars. This is for engineering only. I don’t know about other roles.

Wrong for Uber. Recruiter will spin stock story, but We just don't counter

Just curious, is Uber at par with Google? What do folks at Fb think?

They look down on Uber as if it doesn't even exist.

Engineering talent is better at Google and Facebook, but only those two. Uber and Facebook both have better talent than Google when it comes to product and delivering results. Uber and some parts of Google have more compelling missions than FB. If Facebook weren’t in the position it’s in politically and had a more noble mission, it would be the most compelling option, but with those problems, Uber is the best place to be. Some parts of Google beat Uber, but there are many more interesting places to be at Uber. I’ve worked at all three.
