I'm 28, married with 3 kids, still don't own a house, two car payments, and about $20k in savings. Just curious to know where everyone stands and what are some tips that can get me to the next level and increase my savings. *edit* For everyone commenting that I should mind my own business, that I am going to just get hurt, not to worry about my financial situation, and lastly that I should be happy that I have a family....... first of all where in my above post did I say I am not happy? Life is great, I'm content with where I'm at but there's always room for improvement.
First rule of being happy is Never compare, always improve.
Golden Sacks, you do know you're on blind, right?
I didn't say I wasn't happy, life is good. I just know it can get better :)
Tip: make more money or spend less. Also, stop comparing yourself to others.
The only thing you're probably ahead of the curve on compared to everyone else on Blind is having 3 kids before 30.
They should prob put a break on those that lol
Donât do this. Stay out of other peopleâs business. Youâre going to have a bad time
I donât see a TC in your post. You know itâs hard to comment on this without knowing your TC/location.
I'm forever alone, 24, with 80k saved. 185k TC. Mid 2k rent.
How expensive are your cars?
25, single no kids, 30k in cash reserves, burnt the rest of my savings on a downpayment. One car payment of $1k/month, and my housing expenses are $1350/month. TC 156k My plans are to keep increasing TC at work while expanding passive income options for at least 5-10 years, and then think about marriage & kids.
28, family and 1 kid. Savings are ok and in progress while I pay off school. $1200/mo rent 2 br 3ba 1 garage 1200+ sq feet condo. LCOL area and making sub 100k with 2 car payments (total <$800/mo).. Still jealous of Blinders and their 250k+ TC and working in places like Seattle.
Leetcode your way up
