2 Years of informal experience I started at this company as a Sales Administrator (65k) in Jan '18 and got promoted to Underwriter (85k) in March '19. During my whole tenure, I learned how to code and make simple tools to help me with Python or Javascript. Now they want to move me to the Tech department and make tools and reports for everyone. Our custom CRM has no reports on KPIs or performance over time and they would like me to make these reports. This is a very informal small business financing company in NY and they've treated me well. Since it's so informal, it's hard to understand if this is a promotion or reassignment. I'd like to know if this is a good time to ask for a raise given it's been 9 months since my last one and given the work required.
Following. I know someone who wants to approach the promotion/raise topic in this small engineering firm, but feels uncomfortable doing so.
