What does compensation structure looks like at Convoy, Seattle for Software Engineer? Need help in offer evaluation.

I hope so. My buddy left with half of his equity vested so I would be super happy if he gets compensated for the time he spent there
The head of Uber Freight just left, and they’re losing a bunch of other execs. It’s basically just a brokerage. Convoy is actually changing the industry. Series B funded so comp is competitive but the upside is in the equity.

I would not bet on Uber for anything at this point. Uber seems to be battling for its existence and is losing to Waymo and just lost another market to Grab. My friends at Lyft are fairly sure that they are going to beat Uber in the US.
Equity is tricky. Let's say they get you in as CPO and offer you 1% of the company. By the time you exit you have been probably diluted 4X which means now you own 2.5M of a Billion dollar company (assuming it has a billion dollar exit). In the same time your friends at FANG have made that much and more from just the higher pay Delta. The only people who make 10s of million are the founder, VCs and the LPs. And the real suckers are all the director/VP of engineering/product who could have made more $$ elsewhere and did not even get 1% of the company.
