Not much. QA is a disappearing specialty and get pay to match. Best advise is to get converted to swe ASAP.
By lead qa i meant automation architect position, i believe its equiv to staff eng or senior staff engineer in valley, how does base compensation looks for that
QE is changing into infrastructure and devops. Positions .. nobody is doing manual tests anymore except Some big companies
By valley, I think you mean SV. Anyways, I do not have personal experience but my wife worked at a startup in the storage industry that went public and now she makes around 285k/year TC. 6y experience. She’s a lead in her team.
