Completed AWS background check... But
I just received a welcome email from AWS, saying that the BG check has been completed. However before this, accurate background reached out and ask for further information/secondary references from previous employers. With that in mind, will accurate background (third party BG check vendor) still continue contacting my references/ previous employer's HR and provide Amazon with an updated report?

I'm going through a background check with Accurate as well currently for Amazon. When your BG check was initiated, did they even ask for employer information ? Also, is the status in Accurate still show In Review for you?
I guess you should contact them and tell them to get their act together.
I didnt need to enter any references for the BG check for AWS. Mine came back fine and that was it. They didn't say they needed anything else. However I havent had my HR portal welcome docs sent to me yet because my start date is almost 6 weeks out, so YMMV?
Did they ask you to enter current/previous employer information?
Nope. Just name, dob, ssn, address, the normal stuff.
If amazon tells you that your BG check is done, it means they got the green light to get you started to make money for Jeff Bezos.
Why worry? Is your resume accurate?
Did you have any unpaid internships? I do and I'm scared if I leave it on my resume they'll make the process even more complicated.
Mine finished on Friday. Took about 5 days. They only did criminal check
