Conserving user privacy as a business model?

In an age of tech where we are given ‘free’ services in exchange of our personal information, I was wondering how likely is a business with the opposite model likely to succeed? I mean charging users for a service and all the while keeping all user info (& any data such as interactions with the product) completely private - not sold to third parties for advertisement or whatever traditional big companies do.

What is the revenue model? Who will pay for the privacy?

Unless you have a niche customer base, I think you’re over estimating the importance consumers put on their own privacy.

Check out Proton Mail/VPN. They manage to offer privacy products for free with no ads, but earn revenue from compelling additional features, and donations.

This is one of the biggest potential applications of Blockchain technology. Architected the right way, Blockchain enables security and privacy by default.
