Considering applying for SRE at both Microsoft and Salesforce

Just wanted to hear advice from those who have or do work in these roles currently at either company. What is the day to day job like? What was the interview process like? What do you enjoy and not enjoy? Would you recommend it? Lastly, what is the rough compensation at each? However, this is less important. I am mainly looking to learn new things and grow at a good company/team - I enjoy my current team/company, but would like to consider other opportunities. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Currently have 1.5 years experience.
