Consulting to Engineering

I worked as an Development engineer in Oracle. Later i moved to Consulting to gain functional expertise. Over a period of time i feel i am more interested in Programming. May i know whether it is possible to switch from consulting to Engineering? If this is possible may i know what kind of role and compensation i can expect in FANG? Yoe: 12

at PayPal we won’t consider consultants for engineering roles, I can’t imagine FANG doing so
