In college my room was really minimal. It had a desk, a bed, and a bookshelf. That’s it. My ex-girlfriend thought it was kinda sad, and when we moved in together after college I let her go wild with the interior design and decorations. Now that I’m single and moving out to my own place, I’m wondering how to set up my bedroom to not look like a prison cell. All I can think of right now is putting up some artwork or posters on the walls. What else? Plants? Idk.
Visit IKEA
Ha most of my current furniture is from there, but maybe it’s time to update the look and style of what I have. Thanks.
Ikea but check out Ikea hacks to make better furniture. Also some smart light or technology to make things more unique.
Cool, thanks!
You are not anymore in relationship. You have already did best to not make your bedroom prison cell....

I look for ideas on decorating in the Houzz app. You can find a ton of different options and ideas, just depends on personal taste. I find pillows on the couch are a good place to start. Wayfair, Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond all have tons of options.
Buy whatever speaks to you at Goodwill or farmers market. Put it up on the wall and Don't be emotionally attached, change it every couple weeks
I used Modsy for my place. You send them pics of your place along with sizes, do some survey describing which styles and furniture stores you like, your budget, etc. Then they send you several looks for your room, with a list of furniture and where you can get it. I've tried Ikea, room &board design services, but Modsy was the best.
a new gf
I absolutely don’t want to be in a relationship right now...
You dump her after she decorated the room obviously
