Not great but you can have a side job easily
This! I would actually recommend it because at least you will be developing your skills while maintaining their broke and inept systems.
Curious about Issaquah hq jobs
What type of job?
Fight for good pay up front because as a director told me after a few years in, "that was your final offer" referring to when I was hired. no comp adjustment other than cost of living.
What INvD83 said. No signing bonus Blackout periods during holidays (Nov/Dec) No bonuses ever No stock options Mediocre vacation package (2 weeks, negotiate up front) No remote work 1-2% raises, 3% if you work really hard Medical can use Costco only pharmacy without fees
We should definitely share this here! Estimated ranges for some. SD1 45-65k Just above hourly positions SD2 60-80k Few years of experience in tech SD3 75-105k Several years experience SD4 95-150k Senior level Architect or Engineer 2 110-170 Lead Architect or Engineer 3 160-190 Senior Lead Architect or Engineer 4 180-210 Multi-Platform Lead
this is pretty bad.... can anyone confirm this?
Can confirm, compensation is abhorrent, especially for the area and cost of living
Don't forget, blackout (no time-off, period) dates are the entire month of November, through Christmas Eve.
Ressurecting this old thread... What's the appeal for Costco then? There literally seems to be nothing competitive offered, especially for tech workers that have experience in the benefits filled tech scene in Seattle. It just seems so backward. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as I have an interview, but I mean I'm tempted to just call it off...unless someone can convince me otherwise?
What did you end up doing?
Found an infosec management role at Costco that looks interesting but this thread has me worried. Can managers on the infosec side get above $200k? Have they finally embraced remote work?
I heard they have considered 75% remote. 1 week a month in office
I talked to the recruiter. First 90 days are in office for managers and then 3 weeks at home, 1 week in the office like Oracle said above. They cannot get to $200k base. With the cash bonus and RSUs they can get TC there.
I presume you mean at the HQs in Issaquah, WA.
