What to expect in cox automotive SWE interviews?
Make sure you take it in one go they don't invite you onsite again
Didnt get u. Do u mean there wont be cooling period?
Which brand/division? It can vary a bit
Core domain ,
Austin or Burlington? I'd expect some coding exercises / remote stuff then on site I'd expect some manager interviews and some additional coding / design problems
I didn't know there were any core domain in Atlanta. The primary focus of the phone and onsite will likely be about ability to work through problems and communicate etc. Some may be intentionally ambiguous with the aim to see how you can collaborate / come up with alternative solutions etc. Austin is a fairly new location and I heard that in recent history they had some people asking far too detailed questions that were more fact recollection than problem solving so they were going to be given some coaching in that regard... (It shouldn't be evaluating your ability to recall basic stuff you could easily look up in a few seconds) Leetcode could probably help with the phone round but the onsite is more interactive than what you would see in a leetcode - you'll be expected to explain your thinking and possibly adjust it based on feedback etc - not necessarily a "right" or "wrong" kind of scenario. My best advice (for ANY interviewing, not just for Cox auto) is to not be too focused on trying to get an offer that you don't spend time evaluating if it's there kind of place you would want to work. Don't be afraid to ask hard questions about what kind of place it is, etc - whatever you need to know to help decide if it's a good fit for you.
Thanks for the clear responseš
How is Austin a new location?
From my experience at Cox, you will want to practice behavioral interview questions, but I come from the Cox Comm side mostly.
Not much on design or coding side?
Expect Cox.
