Chances of meta clearing E5 with screwing up one coding one round and acing all other
The CEO at h2o.ai is super crazy. I had my interview and they asked me to solve their real existing problem. I worked for 5 crazy days for 13 hours a day and finally managed to crack the problem. I was then interviewed by 3 people. I managed to clear all the rounds. My last round was with their CEO who cancelled my interview for 3 times. I didn't expect the CEO to be that unprofessional at first place. After about a month of originally scheduled interview, i finally interviewed with him. He said he purposefully cancelled the interview for the quarter to end and that they had a bad quarter. He asked me of what would i bring to the table for the company. I spoke about my qualities and he was interested in only listening to my technical skillsets. After about 10 mins of discussion, he said that my skillsets aren't unique and people already working there possessed it. He rejected me. I am not sure if he wanted me to invent some programming language. I wasted about 3 months of my time hoping to work for what looked like an innovative startup. All the people working there are real talented but i pity for them. What crazy interview experiences did you guys have? Please share.
Thanks for sharing this - good to inform others of crazy practices like that
Sounds like you provided some free consulting 😂
Hope they paid you for that trial week. Giving somebody a problem that big and hard for an interview is insane unless it is paid.
Seriously, they were suppose to fly me to meet the CEO. They cancelled it and instead scheduled a video call.
Totally unprofessional.. everyone blacklist this company
Their interview process doesn’t even have a decent WLB. You dodged a bullet.
Blessing in disguise. Looks like the company will not survive hard times with a leader that is focused only on certain technical skillset. Best to move on.
Was the problem that hard or it just took 5 days for your skillset? It sounds unreasonable to me !!
It was an integration problem. I agree that i had to learn and understand few things from scratch yet CEO's unprofessionalism is what irked me the most.
Why do they have such a shitty logo lol. I mean with a name like h2o they have so much room for creativity, but nope let's just make a yellow and black boring text logo. Fail
Any person with >2 yoe can easily say h2o is dubious af. Next time, talk to someone older before wasting time with such fake companies.
Post the same on Glassdoor too
Will do.
