What can one expect in Senior Software Engineer interviews? White board problem solving? Or domain specific questions? Or a mix a both? TC: 200k
Did an interview on the side with them. Leetcode easy and medium.
No domain specific questions?
Which team?
I didn’t have a good experience with them as they insisted on C++ despite me telling them that I use Python for interviews
AV teams usually require c++. Other teams in my experience let candidates choose any language.
I had threading questions as well
Leetcode medium compile and run the test case. This was Bellevue location. Design question specific to a scenario in which the engineer had gone through. Questions are not difficult but the hard part is they are inexperienced and didn’t go through good interviewing process themselves when they were hired a few years ago. They would want a specific answer and specific way of solving the problem even if the time complexity is the same.
I got one dedicated coding interview which was an lc hard. Two domain knowledge + coding interviews. The coding parts were lc medium. Two more domain specific interviews which involved solving math problems on the board. There was a laptop to use, but one interviewer insisted on whiteboard, despite the recruiter telling me specifically that they have a policy not to force whiteboard.. All problems were posed as object oriented design problems ( i.e. design a class that ...). I think everyone wanted me to code in C++ but maybe the whiteboard guy gave me an option.

Mine were on laptop.
Leetcode style problem solving?
Yeah. Check Glassdoor.
