Hi all, I attended onsite at Cruise Automation for Software Engineer role last Monday. I havent heard back from them yet and did not get a response fron a recruiter. For people who have attended their onsite, how long did it take for you to get a response(accept or reject)
In my case, I interviewed on Mon, sent email to recruiter on Thu and got rejected on Fri.
Got a positive indication within 1.5 days, and basic offer within 7-8 days.
How was the interview?
2 were good one was okay. Other was behavioral
Were the questions from leetcode?
ask the recruiter
What position? It all depends on your team and department
Got an offer, 1.5 hrs after interviewing on site.
How’d it stack up to Facebook comp? Last time I talked to them they tried to sell their comp package as competitive by saying “You need to factor that our stock will 5-10x.”
In terms of the cash component - salary + bonus it was about 10k below FB. Stock though was quite poor. 1 year vest of stock (current value) at Cruise is equal to 1 quarter of stock at FB. If it grows 5-10x, probably makes sense.
Positive indication 2 hours after onsite. Official offer 3 days later (I had competing offers). Side note: I wouldn’t join Cruise right now. Culture is dysfunctional. But best of luck.
Can you elaborate on the culture? Only found a lot of complaints re: culture from drivers for the cars. What have you heard from the rest of the company?
Tell them you have another offer and they’ll reply fast
