A friend of mine recently joined Apple and the most repeated words in her 3 weeks so far have been “secret” and “confidential”. Even while getting knowledge transfer sessions from people in the same team! I can understand hardware teams working in a shroud of secrecy. But why software, that too among internal teams? It just doesn’t compute. There are dozens of companies out there with better software and services than Apple. Not really sure what’s there to hide from your own team members or with other software engineering teams at Apple. TC: A few hundred iPhone X
😁😁
I could explain it to you, but then I’d have to kill you.
Most software at Apple is very closely tied to a hardware product.
This 👆🏿 there’s no internal secrecy on the server side
Loose lips sink ships. It is a fashion company after all.
Shit never works anyways just open source the manufacturing process
Well, Samsung.
You sure about the TC? Few thousand iPhone X translates to couple of millions and I am surprised she still doesn't have access to confidential details within her own team.
I’ve seen even intra-department talks are secret like hiring decisions so on n so forth which shouldn’t really be a secret
Breakthrough software revolutions like dark mode must be kept secret
😂
