Friends, I'd like to understand if I'm over or under my spending according to what I make compared to others to understand if I can make some upgrades in my life that have fixed costs and still be safe.

Net worth: 300k
TC: 310k
Monthly fixed expenses (rent, car payments, etc) 5000k

This guy said that he lives in Los Altos in another post and just said in the original post he owns the house outright. There are no 1.2m houses in Los Altos where you need a gardener and I don't know anyone who owns their house but pays mortgage. Or anyone who is 31 and working at Cisco who owns anything besides a condo in Freemont 🥳. The math doesn't work Buddy 😂😂😂

This does explain why you troll people who actually have a high net worth. You think they are lying just like you are.

What kind of investments/assets do you that generates 15% return on your NW?
      Jul 11
    • New SgJq15
^ curious about that as well. Also, 30m is twice of what my goal is and I have some pretty expensive hobbies taken into account. What are you going to do when you reach 30m?

I think I could be identified if I went through my investments. But yes my returns are pretty consistently above the norm.

@ShJq15 you’re basically almost at your goal already congrats. For me, I’ll build a new type of K12 school that teaches you real world skills. Like how to build wealth.

Thanks for sharing but it irks me when people say “oh guys I generate 15% returns! But when someone asks for tips, the person comes back to say “oh it’s a secret.” Why mention it then? To troll? Nobody is going to find out who you are based on something so vague. Even if it was a private equity investment (which is some of the rarest) nobody would still know)

If you truly want to educate kids in the future, then why don’t you start by educating us?

Yeah it’s all troll lol.. however with this market over the past few years, 15% return was pretty standard.. imagine those that did derivative investing, especially with naked calls - big big money was made here

We already went over this. You have very little chance to know how that is and by following me around you just cause yourself anguish. It comes across in your messages. You're in your mid 30s living at your parents house and you hate the dude your age in the Ferrari with a hot girl in the passenger seat. I get it. It isn't the first time I get this reaction.

Without yoe this is useless. 2 yoe with 300k TC and 300k networth is great. If it’s at 10 yoe then not great and not saving money

We can't do the math for you, but PersonalCapital can: https://share.personalcapital.com/x/dAZF5R . Add all of your accounts (which will show your net worth), estimated monthly expenses, current TC converted to monthly income, and PersonalCapital will run Monte Carlo simulations to come up with all average / median / extreme scenarios on what can happen in the future, which will give you an idea about whether you are overspending or not.
