Cybersecurity industry consolidation?

M&A has gotten pretty wary of all the shit products/oversold tech from cyber start ups; acquisitions are gonna stay relatively low with only proven tech or complimentary tech being picked up. The big players in the space will continue to pick up small companies when they begin to show tangible success but it’s definitely not gonna be ‘15-‘17 again

Who are the top cybersecurity companies by size? I know large companies out there have Cyber staff (FAANGM), but what about Palo Alto Networks, Symantec, Cisco, Check Point, McAfee, etc? Where do they fall on the list? Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, BAE Systems, General Dynamics, Leidos, Honeywell, Booz Allen Hamilton hire cybersecurity folks doing interesting work?

So there are the legacy companies like Symantec, Sophos, etc that are still huge players in the space; there are tech companies that continue to expand into the space like Cisco and then there are massive start ups like cylance and Fire Eye and splunk etc
