Goldman Sachs senior VPs make 195k base, graduated Harvard and work 16 hour days. In silicon valley any random kid makes that much money.
I doubt that senior VP makes under 200k. A girl i know who's only 26 makes 300k. She works at JP Morgan and not even a senior position.
I am talking base. Stock is not comparable, it could be millions or nothing.
So what's your point then
At financial institutions, VPs are worthless titles. So what they work 16 hours, if that's the case, they're not capable enough to get it done in 8ish hours. Man people are jelly.
But can they leetcode ?
Purple
You didn't include the bonus which is insane.
You can use bonus to buy stock appreciation dude
VPs at investment bank are the step above analyst. It's pre-MBA. Anyone who's not administration or entry level are VP or above
Svps are like 40, the only thing after that is md
How much do Product managers make at these financial institutions ??
They don't have PM's. Very rigid hierarchy of associate, VP, md
What’s the equivalent of product manager there? And how much do they make?
Surprising how no one from finance replied. VPs make up>50% of Goldman full time employees. You can make VP in 4.5 years. Most of it just cash bonus. Very little portion is stock.. in Goldman senior VPs make north of 400k 90% is cash
And this is tech senior VPs. In front office it can easily cross 800k minimum
Of all VPs , how many are Senior VPs ? I would contend a very less %. Rest will make standard 200-300 total compensation. Your numbers in general are inflated for Tech
Not true.
The kings of comp in finance are the hedgefunds -- not the BBs.
Their base is still bad though. You might make a 10mm bonus on 200k base.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
