Data Infrastructure teams in Facebook, Uber, Airbnb
Looking for meaty backend infrastructure projects. Any opinions on the infrastructure teams in Facebook, Uber or Airbnb? Many problems in Google have already been solved and any infrastructure changes take too long to see the light of the day. Moreover, the teams working on these projects are too big to make an impact. So trying to switch. Suggestions for interesting data Infra teams in other companies would be appreciated.

FB is your best bet, Uber has enough for what they need, and AirBnB doesn’t have scale to require interesting infra
Plenty of interesting work at Yelp, we have a relatively small infrastructure team so there seems to be a lot of scope to have impact.

Airbnb has a ton of oppotunities in infra now. Yes we are not at the scale of Uber/FB, but the growth is rapid and current status is so bad that it is very easy to make huge impact if you want.

In FB it's an army, not a team. Uber has good infra but maybe too good so you won't matter. Airbnb is where you can make a difference.
