Did you recently interview for this position at Apple?
3 different teams at Apple were trying to recruit me in Sept. for data science, Embedded deep learning, and nlp. I also previously worked at apple as a computer vision research engineer, so I am familiar with Apple interviews in the space. In the end I chose Microsoft, because I didn’t like apple culture.

No, DS at apple is a/b testing and sql queries.
No. It seems to be more about the infrastructure and tooling for data collection and management prior to actual data science/ml activities. Note that this (Data Science Engineer) is different from Data Scientist.
