Data Science roles @ FB
For someone with 4 years total analytics experience and a background in computer science (current TC is ~$150k in Seattle), what is the expected level at FB, Data Scientist or Data Science Manager and what is the expected TC at these levels ?
At 4 you’re looking at ~$180k TC. No vesting cliff. If you crush the interview you might be able to get in at 5.

Right. Before you had to wait 1 year before receiving the 1st year’s vest. Now you vest every quarter straightaway.
Thanks. Are thr interviews expected to be different for both the roles ? Will the one for manager be as technical as the one for a scientist ? Is one expected to code in R/Python during on if the rounds or is the coding restricted to SQL only ?
You’re not getting a manager interview. If you are the recruiter likely screwed up. You will still need to code in manager interviews

Number of years don’t matter so much. But you’re probably looking at level 4, which means you can’t be a manager
