Data Scientist and ML Engineer out there?

I am looking for some help to get me through interviews. I have been applying and interviewing for Data Scientist and ML Engineer roles for last few months. Can't really convert them even with good pipeline of interviews. It's becoming hard to stay motivated and feel confident with constant rejections. Need some help from someone who is already working as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer. Here is what I am looking and could pay you, if I can afford your time 😉. - Couple of mock interviews with feedback. - Evaluating my interview related Data Science case study submissions. - Some general guidance and tips to cracking interviews. Anybody willing to help a (imposter) Data Scientist/ ML Engineer here?

Which company ? What role?

I can give you a few pointers: 1. You must know your fundamentals (basic probability and stats, including hypothesis testing) 2. You must be well versed in basic data wrangling (read data from a server (web/database, preprocessing, cleaning, handling null values, outliers, etc.) in Python/R 3. You must know pandas, numpy, scikit, Matplotlib, Jupyter notebook (iPython), Tableau and so on 4. Knowing Hadoop, Spark, etc is a good bonus 5. Basic ML methods and concepts, highly recommend Introduction to Statistical Learning (book, labs and lectures) 6. Gain experience in handling some real world datasets, try kaggle, or apply some data science techniques in your current role to gain experience 7. Learn how to summarize, present and communicate your results Good luck. If all you do is watch some YouTube videos and play with Boston housing data, that won’t take you far

I am currently working on building a ML product, although very basic and not like typical projects. I have also worked on most of the stack you have mentioned here. I have worked on 20-25 different problems with different datasets, including built a self driving remote controlled car. My major challenge is answering production level implementation details and challenges, where I have little experience with. And hence the mock interview request.

I understand. I think generally the DS roles don’t require model implementation. That might be more like SW roles. Regardless, I can’t be much help there. But good luck, hopefully someone can DM you.

Sounds like you could be a good fit for our data scientist role track 3

OP can you refer me? I am actively interviewing for Data Scientist position :)
