I found the sql portions of leet code/hacker rank to be helpful, but they are small compared to the other languages on the platform. After trying a few pythons problems, it seems the coding sections are more geared towards developers. I tried sqlzoo but was unimpressed. Any other resources you use? I started out "hacking excel" to get it to do really cool things it wasn't necessarily built for then moved into python. I love writing code to automate things, clean data, analyze trends etc, but I don't think I'll ever want to make algorithms or complex programs. Is that part of a larger problem or a sign I'm headed down the wrong career path? Tc: Embarrassed at this point that I am probably known as the guy with the shit salary (78k) Yoe: 4 Actively looking for another job if you wanna hook a friend up 😉
Leetcode db has enough. It covers pretty much all concepts you would potentially be tested on in an interview
Hacker rank sql
78k / 4yoe is probably a sign that you need to either get promoted to Senior (if it's by leaving the company, so be it) or go to Grad School.
In my case it's more an issue with my industry. I work at an agency....even the VPs are getting paid under 100k I technically am senior, I've got 2 direct reports, own a lot of my own work streams etc
