Anybody think Databricks will be big in the future and will complete IPO. Like a $10B company? Any compensation metrics on Databricks for Senior Manager level?
$10B is a pipedream, but I would posit they are better suited to success than cloud era or Horton works due to their wholehearted embrace of AI
Databricks is going downhill. From this year's Spark Summit you can see the sponsers are shrinking and expo and food are getting much worse
Yeah wassup with those bread sticks on the second day lunch? Soggy af.
You can get same stuff in ec2. Maybe 1B exit though
I predict an IBM buyout 😁 (Kidding)
They went ghost after a congratulations phone call and a base of 170k (engineering position). Irresponsible HR follow up.
Same story here. I asked for a feedback and they didn't even bother replying back.
What about now? Especially since hw and cdera merged
What do you expect?
Isn't databricks now the largest competitor. Since the combined company is worth 5b isn't it reasonable to assume that databricks is also worth that much
Their post IPO valuation would have to be less than two billion given that they are smaller than Cloudera and Hortonworks
A lot of these unicorn companies run around with high valuations until they IPO and then splat.
Lol to almost all these comments, they’ve blown up since these comments were posted
