Dating in NYC
Just moved up to NYC. Outside of apps, what’re some good ways to explore the dating scene? #NYC
Referrals. Seriously, friend of a friend. Going to parties where you 6 degrees of kevin bacon your way into a phone number
See hot girls on the street or train and ask for their number
Trust me - just on tinder you get more matches than easily manageable
Just go out. There are tons of girls here.
Go to bars, talk to people. Go to events, talk to people. Make friends and expand your social circle, and you will probably start meeting people to date. Apps are bonkers in NYC. True you get lots of matches (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, etc) but a lot of people use them for trolling because there's so many more options out there
If male, most hobbies have groupies. Get good at a hobby: music, fitness, running swimming, skiing. Easier to meet if you have something in common.
Enthusiasts if you will.
Except that women don't usually date down in such a group. It happens for sure just not as often.
Make friends, go to parties
Go to a bar, cafe, events and strike up a conversation with whoever catches your eye. If you feel a connection: go for it and ask for their number.
