Anyone a day trader - part or full time? If not, what are some of your investments or current stocks in your portfolio? My current positions are Sprint (given the merger rumors/company turnaround) JetBlue, and a few other small/mid caps that are $1-$20. Typically I trade whatever has momentum or the most volatile during trading hours. $DRYS, $OPXA, $JNUG, $JDST just to name a few.

I recently sold 200 shares of GoPro that I bought at $8.xx and sold when it popped up to $10. I had hopes in the company but their consistent failure in product launch and development has left me to sell out.

I trade with TD Ameritrade and Robinhood

I'm curious what other people trade or your opinions on my positions. Thanks in advance.

Back in the 90's there was a research paper that said technical analysis was useless beyond 15 minutes into the future. I'd imagine that with the quants the visibility is even less for technical trades.

Isn't the key to technical trading trading stocks that are liquid enough to flit in and out of as soon as the trend says to? I'm sure greater volatility helps. So Amazon would seem like a good stock to trade. A president randomly tweeting about it that has to drive up volatility which would increase your chances to trade rumors and news in addition to underlying technicals.

I trade part time, using momentum (stocks) and mean reversion (shorting vix). The president presents presidential opportunities!

Shorting isn't as easy as it looks. The easier ones have higher borrowing rate up to 100%, which offset your gains.

$S cheap by design. $JBLU support at 19. $OPXA is shell ticker for Acer. Stay far away from $DRYS $JNUG $JDST. Just look at their multi year chart!
