Facebookers, can you please shed light on how biannual performance evaluations works at Facebook and what it takes on average to get meets most, meets all, exceeds and redefines? I’ve seen on some posts that this all revolves around impact, how is impact defined and measured? Any tips for new hires on doing well during the first year? How does one be efficient? Specific to the role of software engineer e3 or e4. Couldn’t find any comprehensive posts on this topic. 4 yoe, TC 115k

E3 MA at hire is "can complete tasks assigned to them". E4 MA is "can complete small projects assigned to them". EE, GE, RE are hard to describe easily. Each relate to the level they're at and the amount of impact had.
Thanks for the explanation! What would an EE or GE look like for an E4?
I guess GE would be multiple larger projects. I got RE at E4 by acting as a team lead, on top of multiple larger projects
