I am 6 months away from getting my Bachelor Degree. Does MSFT include education in Background check? This for vendor or Manage service role only.
If you’re honestly getting one, why does it matter?
The position I applied for required Bachelor Degree. I already had phone interview but education never came up.
Only if you want to declare it. Then they’ll check with THAT school. Don’t lie about a degree if you haven’t graduated. There should be an option to indicate you’re still in school.
Be honest about it and do not claim to ha ve a degree
Lying about the degree is the only illegal thing - rest of embellishments are non-punishable things. You can land behind bars for that
Is that strictly regarding H1-B process?
No. It applies to all. Lying about education can land you in jail for fraud
When I got an offer from MSFT in 2016 they conducted a background check on me before giving me the letter.
This is vendor, managed service for MSFT not FTE for MSFT.
Agree with the above. Just don't lie. People apply for roles all the time when they don't have all the listed qualifications on the job description.
I didn’t lie. Yes I did apply to position that required Bachelors Degree but does that make me a liar?
All companies will do a background check at the end of the process, so save yourself time and bring it up yourself with the recruiter ...
degrees don’t matter. no reason to lie about having one.
What happened? Can you update?
What school you're from ?
Arizona state university
ASU? Just go to godaddy man lol 😂
