Delayed Apple Offer?

It’s been almost a month since my recruiter has given me a verbal offer (this is after they got approval for the offer and everything, they even sent this in email...)

The recruiter has been telling me there is a new system they put in place so that’s why there’s been a delay?

Is it true, did Apple new employee offer system switch to a new one or am I being slow played?

I’ve already rejected other offers which I feel dumb for doing now... thinking I need to start interviewing again.

Apple hiring process is shit. I accepted my intern to full-time return offer in September 2016 and it took them until February 2017 to give me a written offer. My manager told me to apply to other jobs in the meantime 🤬

I’m sorry this happened to you. However, I see you’re at Apple and you can effect positive change. So make it better for the next set of folks who’re coming in. Give feedback, take some initiative!

Wow 5 month period? Although if they gave it to you in feb 2017 it’s likely they were waiting for 2017 headcount budget.

      Hopefully that doesn’t happen here...

Yeah 😕 first red flag for me and just in the year and a half I’ve been here, it’s just been going downhill until I’ve had enough.

It’s such a shame since I loved it here when I was an intern and then my organization had a reorg and I got placed on a different team doing not so interesting stuff ☹️

Anyways, I wish you the best and hopefully they get back to you soon with the offer in writing!

So frustrating... my recruiter is nice enough and doesn’t dodge my calls or emails but the fact that it’s taking this long is unnerving

Yeah it took awhile for them to get back. But don’t worry, it will arrive. I heard the same re: new system changes

It’s a standard package. They will take care of everything with temporary housing, car rental etc. least of your worries.

Haha okay good to know, thanks! What’re typical candidate hire times looking like with the new system?

I don’t know what times are looking like but just wanted you to know you’re not being jerked around. They’re genuinely dealing with a new system.

Apple does take long to do background verification etc. It's normal for them. I have seen my friend waiting for 2 months..don't worry.
