Delicate question to HR

I feel you are really busy and don't have enough time for chatting or for review candidates. But, I've confused, because I have 10 YOE in Software Development and I try to contact you, and I follow you, and I send InMail to you on LinkedIn in different ways with different templates. So, 1 week - 40 requests - ZERO responses. You've blown my mind. How it's possible? Please, could you share tips and tricks or the best way / the best time to contact you and don't be ignored? Give me the secret sauce?

Just a couple of sentences about my reason to change a job and question about open positions in their company.

My advice would be to take an English class, work hard at it and get better at it. You will get better responses if your message is expressed more clearly.

I'll do, thank you.

Are you contacting HR or are you contacting recruiters specifically?

New

Actually, I've tried both.

Is this opposite world?

Why do you want to network with HR? Why would they want to network back? What are you sending them

I'm looking for job. I've changed my status and I'm looking for new opportunities. I told a short story about willing to change my current position and asked about SDE opportunity at their company

Xero XbwF01 Jul 6, 2018

Huh? Just randomly pick one of the dozens of recruiters who bombard your LinkedIn begging for your attention. /firstworldproblem

Actually, I've just moved to the US, so, no one bombards me yet. How to become bombed? :)

HR is not the same as Talent Acquisition in big companies. HR people that aren’t specifically working in recruiting are just as useless to reach out to as a random engineer. If they don’t have “recruiter” somewhere in their title, it probably just comes off as spam honestly

Thank you, it's a really good point.

Microsoft @zzz Jul 6, 2018

Wow just wow. Did you really not know the difference?

Most recruiters are pretty focused in on one or a few roles, and they're too used to getting qualified candidates through incoming applications for a specific req... or candidates passed to them from technical sourcers. Unfortunately, most recruiters don't bother reading InMails, as the majority of messages are from recent grads trying to get some traction on landing their first job. Recruiters seem to have tunnel vision for their own reqs/teams and are generally not open to making the time to chat over unknowns. Try reaching out to technical sourcers. They tend to be more willing to engage and help candidates find the right role at the outset. Most times they get credit when they pass a good candidate off to the right recruiter.

Thank you, it's very useful. A good idea.

If you’ve been sending messages this week, it’s a holiday and your notes will get buried. When folks get back from vacation next week to full inboxes, your messages will fall to the bottom of the stack in terms of priority. Try again mid next week.

Yeah.. it maybe reasonable, I'll try!

Here's a cleaned up version of your post written in a coherent manner that doesn't scream "I have no fucking clue how to communicate with other human beings" === Question for Recruiters I'm a software engineer looking for a new job. I have been at my current company for X years and overall have been working in this industry for over a decade. I understand you're busy and that it may be difficult to get ahold of you. In the last week, I've tried to connect with over forty recruiters over Linkedin and have not received a single response. Is it just bad luck, or is there something I can do on my end to improve my response rate? === If you have 10 YOE and you can't get a response, it shows me that you didn't do enough during your ten years to impress any coworkers who can refer you.

Hey, thank you for cleaning up the message, have you an same clean idea for response as well? Yes, you right, I don't have there any co-workers who can reffer me, because I've just been relocated to the States from Europe. So, this one is a new market for me. What can you suggest to start build a career in US from a white list of paper? I believe in recruiters work is a little bit more than just asking referrers from co-workers, right?
