That's like asking how long before that wrench that you never use is given away or sold at a garage sale. 🤷♂️ Some wrenches get lucky
Why? Are you starting to get worried?
I used to work at Deloitte and the longest I was ever on the bench was 2/3 months. That only happened once. I knew of various people who were on the bench for about 4/5 months though I never met anyone who got fired for being in the bench too long. I think if you reach month 4/5 without a project then you should start getting worried.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
In consulting being on the bench is never good so I’d imagine if it is too long you will be fired
He’s asking how long. I’m curious too. I’d guess it’s 3 months now and 2 weeks during downturn
