How much TC to expect with 4 yoe and MBA from Wharton? Asking for a friend who can’t make a blind account.
Around $150k in TC. Plus standard consulting travel benefits.
Get into tech
That’s how much is left off what we pay your masters? Oh
MBA hires start at $165k. Hiring bonus is $25k. Eligible for bonus immediately, up to about 25% Source: actually work there. Now any of you Google people want to refer me?
Why do you wanna leave the consulting world though?
Not as glamerous as I thought it'd be. Lots of old/ dated "enterprise" technology. Clients are perpetually idiots/ difficult to work with. Traveling 100% sucks. No real work life balance. No office culture since I don't have a desk. Salary isn't as competitive versus tech. And when the economy turns south, who do you think is the first one to get fired? Contractors and consultants.
Campus hires are offered 165k base, 25k sign on bonus, 20% target bonus, plus 100k pre-tax tuition reimbursement (you got to pay back tuition if you leave the firm within 2 years)
For now NYC or SF get the same pay as Atlanta or Charlotte or Dallas. Our leaders did announce that by end of 2020 adjustments based on geographic location will be made
