What’s the salary range of Sr. Consultant Software Engineers in these consulting firms. Looking for CA state.
A problem with these roles in high COL locations is that they probably bill at the same rates wherever they are. If you can find out roughly what they bill at, you can work out what they can reasonably pay you after vacation, benefits, coverage for expected bench time between engagements, ETC.
They won’t pay anywhere near to billing rate
Definitely not... All the overhead is expensive, sales has got to get their cut, ETC.... Can Senior engineers hit even 30% at those firms?
On top of base, I have seen those consultants make a sizable chunk from travel per diem. They make a ton of points on popular loyalty programs which helps them in their vacations.
Per diem applicable in only certain service lines, but yeah on travel free food, free booz , you have what you make, only weekend expenses
