Hi, Recently my h1 transfer got approved and I have given notice to my current employer and planning to join new employer by July 16th. My dependents went on vacation to India by May and planning to return July 28th. They have valid visa stamped in their passport till April 2019 . I read in forums that they can travel with that visa and copy of i797 approval notice of my new employer . Is that assumption valid?. When I gave notice to my current employer it was mentioned that the immigration team of current employer will invalidate my visa once I resign. In that case , will h4 Visa stamped becomes invalid and will my dependents have issues while travel?. Please advise.
You mean my dependents should be aware of my new employer details?. Other than that no issues?
I assuming you have an idea of checking with attorney other than blind?
I wouldn’t leave the country or have anyone dependent on you leave the country while your visa is in flux. This new administration has shown they are anti-immigrant and prone to sudden changes. I get that travel is important but then don’t make the job change yet. Your ability to stay in the US could depend on it.
It was planned earlier and have tickets booked before and job change happening now, so new employer immigration also mentioned it should be fine.
Nope.. they should be aware of your new employer details..
