Long working hours more than 12 hours over weekdays Roughly 5 hours over weekends Low compensation Health I have anxiety so I always do not do well during interviews because I cannot speak and explain things well under pressure and do not sleep well a night before interviews I feel really depressed because I do not think that I can go further in my career. There’s a rumor about a massive layoff coming in February. I feel really sorry to myself!
Take 4 months vacations, go to Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, or Mexico. You will get lots of sun and learn a bit of Español ;)
I heard qualtrics is all about happiness, join that team within SAP
I had a similar situation. I think you need to talk to a counselor. It’s pretty helpful to have someone who can guide you through with a plan and a structure. The advise here is pretty stupid and naive IMO. Telling a depressed person to go on a long vacation without any supervision in most cases leads to a deeper depression or worse.
Im really sorry to hear that this is happening to you. You should consider seeing a Therapist to reduce your anxiety.
Have a hug, friend 🙆♂️
I really want to have a person come and hug me Anyways thanks
Ill fuckin do it dude. DM me if you need to talk or have a coffee.
How would you feel/act if you had plenty of money? Pretend you do.
Find a therapist. Realize that many people feel sad or unconfident at times. Take vacation time. Sounds like a crap job, you can find another. But maybe before you are ready, take some time off.
I have a friend in exactly the same situation, except the layoff part. He put his foot down and told his boss he needed to take a couple of weeks off, and it helped clear his mind. You have to get out of whatever is depressing you before you can give good interviews. You'll do better to see a psychiatrist if you can't just clear your mind with a vacation, some people need meds temporarily to get out of their funk.
Practice interviews with real life people. You can even pay for such service.
Go to a room and cry your heart out. Come out, realize no one owes you anything and work hard to be what you want to be.
